Northampton and District Poultry Club Spring Show and Sale.
Sunday 17th February 2008.

Marrowell Farm, West Haddon, Northampton.

We had a record entry of 319 birds and Trios and 84 plates of eggs for the judges Mr Bill Johnson, Mr Stuart Lowe and Mr Graham Lowe, who came all the way down from Cheshire to deliberate over.
There were some very high quality exhibits and once again it was nice to see some new exhibitors showing for the first time. I hope they are now ‘hooked’ and we will see them regularly in the future not just at our show but at others as well.
The sale went down a storm and although the ‘shed’ wasn’t very big there were quite a few birds sold.
The day was a great success, infact I have never seen so many people turn out for one of our shows. It was down to a strong team effort and I would just like to thank a few people for their efforts on the day and in the preparation beforehand.
Rose, Julie and ‘chef’ Roger for the catering, Chris and Barry for handling the sale, Jess, Mike, Tim, Val, Mildred, Ann, Bob and Ian for general help and we can’t forget our chairman Wilf.
All in all a good show lets build on this for the future.

The main winners were as follows:
Best in Show and Best Hard Feather Bantam was a Wheaten Black Red OEG Bantam cock from Hugh Evans.
Reserve Best in Show and Best Waterfowl was a Saxony Drake from Paul Hayes.

The Autumn Show Results
